We stayed in one of the penthouses in late winter and it was amazing. So private, so romantic, so beautiful. We barely left our suite and spent almost the whole trip on our deck alternating enjoying the cliffside view/ocean sounds from our private pool, huge day bed, hammock, and sun chairs. We ate almost every meal out there too except for the awesome lunch we had with our market tour. I'm still dreaming about the incredible food from that meal - like guac with strawberries, passion fruit ceviche, and tacos with sun dried chorizo - which the chef was able to make around my wack dietary restrictions. I would recommend this place to any couple but especially as a queer couple - we felt very welcomed and our private pool eliminated any anxiety around gender presentation in a swim suit.
